Charles and Lois O Brien s home in Green Valley looks like it s been invaded by insects, when in fact every one of the 1.25 million specimens in their extraordinary collection is there intentionally as part of their life s work.

Their profession as entomologists those who study insects has set them apart and given them experiences most people would shudder to consider.

Who would want to have a house with 1.25 million insects? Even if they are dead and neatly categorized, labeled in miniscule four-point type and stored in 1,200 glass-top drawers.
